- Reposted by Søren HavePerhaps it was coincidental timing, but nothing underscores the collapse of the Washington Post like firing most of the Pulitzer prize winning #climate reporters the very same day as their opinion pages publishes a BS screed by climate misinformer Bjorn Lomborg.

- I don’t get it why anybody would want to buy eg a new Toyota Yaris Cross, when you for the same money could get eg a VW ID.3. Somebody please explain.

Prof. Johan Rockström, @pik-potsdam.bsky.social on the disconnect between climate goals & the reality of our rising global emissions. Stagnation is a risk we can't afford to stay within planetary boundaries. 🚨

- This 👇🏻 was why I last spring said that there was no need to wait with raising purchase taxes on *relatively expensive* EVs in Denmark. The government chose to postpone the tax increase anyway, but then at the same time set down a commission to propose how to do externalities-based taxation. 👌🏻

- Reposted by Søren HaveThe main business model of Silicon Valley from Uber to AirBnB to Spotify is: skim profit off others' goods and labor. Often in ways that are exploitative of individuals or destructive of larger forces (as with Amazon and the retail that kept people heading out in public).
- Call me old fashioned but i) I feel great about living in a neighbourhood where I can walk to places to eat, or to take home food or to buy groceries to make food myself. ii) I can’t help thinking of those who get deliveries as lazy iii) I have a hard time implicitly subsidising ‘free’ delivery.

- Sad to learn today that one of the ridesharing pioneers in Denmark, GoMore is closing that part of their business (they’ll now focus on peer2peer car-sharing). Particularly since (real) ridesharing was what originally drew me into the world of sustainable transport. www.sorenhave.dk/blog/wp-cont...

- There’s no tipping point beyond which ocean acidification kills corals, new research shows. With every creeping bit of acidification, corals just continue to die off. 🧪🌊 eos.org/articles/cor...
