  • The non-Hispanic white population of Minneapolis was 403k in 1970 (out of 434k). Today it's about 250k (out of 430k). Imagine the decay, vacant lots and empty storefronts, if people hadn't immigrated, while suburbanization continued apace anyway. I'm supposed to resent this? Immigrants saved us.
