- Nice! I thought they would be very expensive, but I'm seeing some affordable models here with good reviews. We have a cursed HP Envy 5000 that we got used for very cheap, but I need to unplug it and re-add it every time and the cartridges last very little, given we don't even print that much

- I’ve been wanting to replay DQXI for a while now, but when I introduced it to my daughter the other day and seeing her captivated by it almost instantly (which is tough, hey, she’s hard to please with new things these days) l remembered how freaking good this game is, and had to start NOW!

View full threadFirst time I played, with just those 2 draconian quests but in plain English it took me 200+ hours just to finish act 2, after which I couldn’t bear playing anymore because the game destroyed me emotionally with a very f-ed up turn in the story (which I won’t spoil)
- But I’m ready this time!! If I can endure the long journey there, of course… f-ed up twist and all I must say I don’t regret one single minute I spend playing this game. If I don’t finish it, the fun and joy will still be complete for me. Even the sad part is a reflection of how much it got to me
- So I went and ordered the Japanese version and boy did I get hooked again. I played 6 hours of it and I just reached the church with Erik (sorry, カミュ). It’s taking me ridiculously long to read everything and I turned on tough enemies and no xp from weak enemies again, so it will take me what, 600h?

- It’s amazing! I played some of the older ports, namely the GBC and 3DS (which is like the mobile versions). They are even simpler with just 1:1 battles, but it’s so amazing how every element seems so intentional and well balanced. It’s really the quintessential JRPG experience
- I finally finished Consume Me the other day and highly recommend it! I’m not a heavy life sim player, so each loop felt like the right amount of stress and challenge to me. The gameplay *is* storytelling while also being super engaging and fun. Made me feel Jen’s story quite intensely
