I’ve been wanting to replay DQXI for a while now, but when I introduced it to my daughter the other day and seeing her captivated by it almost instantly (which is tough, hey, she’s hard to please with new things these days) l remembered how freaking good this game is, and had to start NOW!

So I went and ordered the Japanese version and boy did I get hooked again. I played 6 hours of it and I just reached the church with Erik (sorry, カミュ). It’s taking me ridiculously long to read everything and I turned on tough enemies and no xp from weak enemies again, so it will take me what, 600h?

First time I played, with just those 2 draconian quests but in plain English it took me 200+ hours just to finish act 2, after which I couldn’t bear playing anymore because the game destroyed me emotionally with a very f-ed up turn in the story (which I won’t spoil)
