- Reposted by Hasan YardimciDear Colleagues, Delighted to share that our first lab paper is now published in Nature.!!! 😊😊😊 We identify a previously concealed “safety limit” in DNA replication program: cells intrinsically rate-limit PCNA via PAF15, shaping strand-specific and global replication dynamics. 👉 rdcu.be/e1bBt
- Reposted by Hasan YardimciNew work published in @natcomms.nature.com has shone light on how a protein called geminin ensures DNA is only replicated once before cells divide, helping cells to maintain the integrity and accuracy of their DNA. This work was a collaboration between the LMS and @imperialchemistry.bsky.social

- Reposted by Hasan YardimciIt is not always safe to repair DNA Damage. Sometimes, cells "just bypass it". During DNA replication, repair of lesions on DNA can be dangerous. Cells instead "tolerate" DNA damage and focus on finishing replication. Read our review and find out why and how: doi.org/10.1016/j.ti...
