They’re doing a job. They’re not there for shits and giggles, like you, so you should probably leave them alone. At the very least, ask. I’ve been side eyeing this behavior since seeing an uptick in these types of videos on instagram. Not wholesome! 👎🏻
sounds like a crash for Jonas Vingegaard after being tailed by a fan
So Jonas did crash 😵💫 Whether the guy racing after him filming was the direct reason or not, ffs these people need to back off and have a little self respect.
What has happened to Matthew Brennan? Horribly out of position and not able to contest twice in a row.
Is he sick? If so, why are his teammates at the front so late in the race? Last year his timing and instincts looked elite.
I think the heat is causing him problems plus the team is not strong here lots of newbies to the team still trying to figure things out. Not a great squad to send really
Interesting point. No word of illness or injury from Morkov, just disappointment. After the near-savant performances we saw from him last year, this is a strange development indeed.
I hope it's just early season difficulties + new teammates needing to find each other. Brennan looked good in the first sprint at least. We just have to be patient and see 🙈 But when you look at his program, he doesn't have a lot (any?) smaller races to adjust these things and that worries me a bit.
It's odd. He's always done well cruising in the finale without a leadout even? Not this time around.
My guess would be clearly leadout issues, but since he doesn't contest the sprint himself, either a form or a confidence issue too.
But idk why Visma are this shit in early season 2 years in a row
Also, they're clearly not hiding the fact that they think he's the next big thing, he's got a program that would be fit for an already established top sprinter/classics rider... I hope they haven't put too much pressure on this guy too early, and this is the result of it.
But for real I still believe in him and his positioning skills. But this race has been an utter disaster to say the least
So much for his great positioning skills lol

From a mailing list. Awkward.
Hilarious that they went through with it anyways, but why not, I guess 😂

fucking superdomestiques and their martyr syndromes. Yo Seppie you remember how this put you in a recovery hole that took you a solid two years to dig out of?!

OFFICIAL | Giro d'Italia and Tour de France selections made for Visma - Meet the '8's that will support Jonas Vingegaard
A lot of schedule decisions were made public today at the Team Visma | Lease a Bike camp, as the Dutch team hosted its media day and finally confirmed Jonas Vingegaard's debut at the Giro d'Italia. Cy...
I am a shameless stan, but the reflexive shit takes on TVL's 2026 program are boggling.
- Jonas is "dodging"
- Wout is washed
- Matteo's schedule is wrong. Brennan's too.
- Departures/retirements = "something is wrong"
No one is above criticism, but come on.
Insane, is that English press? None of that in NL or Belgium. I think it's a rather refreshing year plan for all top riders with new chances and races to ride! Let's pray that this year the crash ghost has gone to another team 🤞👊

Do we know who's at the giro with Jonas? Piganzoli and Fiorelli confirmed right? Campy should be a given. Sepp?

Got to think in his first year trying for a GC GT, they're not doubling up on GT's with him, unless they feel they need him in the Tour.
I'm assuming Kuss doubles Giro-Tour, otherwise they would've announced him for the Vuelta. Piganzoli is confirmed, and I guess you send Lemmen and Kelderman both.
If Kuss goes, I think it's fine. But if neither Kuss nor Tulett goes, I'm a little scared 😂

Hey cycling fans, happy new season! I've been a bit absent of late but it's good to see lots of new faces around the place following the (further) demise of the hell-site.
Question for you all: what are you most excited for this coming road season? 🤩🚲
Matty Brennan, just in general (see also: Cat Ferguson). The continued emotional rollercoaster of being a Wout fan. What does PFP do next? Mads' green jersey campaign at the Tour. Continuing to refuse to ever say or write 'avec Zwift'.

Eli Iserbyt’s retirement is the first retirement in a long while that I’ve actually felt emotional about😔to me he’s synonymous with the current era of cyclocross, it’s such a shame that he’s forced to end his career in this way, but I hope he can find happiness in whatever he does next
The sudden exits of Yates and now Eli have combined to impact me. I got into cycling in 2019, which was the start of a new era in the sport: new superstars, new tech, etc. But time goes on, and some of the key figures of "my" era are starting to move on.
Not so bad yet, but when Wout goes....
yeah I’m similar, I’d been watching cycling a bit as a child, but I only really got properly into it during this current era so it’s going to be so weird when the legends of this generation start to drop off😔hopefully some of them will still stay around the sport so we’ll still get to hear from them

“Dutch rider opens up about losing faith in Visma-Lease a Bike’s training methods…”(dnlbenson on Dylan Van Baarle)
Ineos and TVL have been 2 of the most dominant teams of the last 15 years. Even last year Visma finished 2nd in UCI.
If they aren’t good enough for you, the problem is you.
Dylan once said in his podcast that he used to train different than his teammates also at Ineos/Sky. He preferred long days and high intensity, as he had the feeling that worked best for him. At Visma they have tried a different approach probably. But his lack in results is due to all his crashes 😬
I agree.
And just because some riders don't like Visma's training methods doesn't make them wrong.
It just means Visma needs to spend a little extra time making sure new riders really understand what they're getting into.
I'm sure EF's Laissez-faire methods aren't for everyone either.

Big surprise this. Wonder who Visma will replace him with? What a way to finish your career - with a Grand Tour win and a Tour stage.
Simon Yates to retire with immediate effect. It is sudden and looks to have surprised the Visma-LAB team as he was picked to pose with colleagues to show off the 2026 kit and the team shared the photos on 30 December
