- Our new paper is published in Pop Studies, together with Mike Hollingshaus and Vladimir Canudas-Romo. We presented a decomposition method looking at the numerator and denominator of age-specific death rates in assessing the time changes in life expectancy. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.....
- We applied this method in the paper to produce results with cross-national comparison with populations in HMD during 2009-2019 and subnational comparison for the US during 2009-2019.
- We showcase some interesting insights into the future of longevity for some countries as well as public challenges faced by others. We believe this method could also open some new methodological avenues for future research.
