- Reposted by Sherman Didn't Go Far EnoughMy read is that American leftism specifically has been unwilling to reckon directly with its unpopularity and instead falls into a cargo cult form of Leninism, preoccupied with building a “pure” vanguard to lead the inevitable awakening of the proletariat.
- I find the @whstancil.bsky.social backlash strangely fascinating. At its core it seems to be a desperate effort by folks further to the left to avoid having a liberal (with communication skills) become the face of their movement. But, to be honest, winning was always going to require that.
- They're turning one of the nation's oldest newspapers into a fucking substack
- Alrighty, we gotta invent leftism but with actual gender analysis. Yeah, the ideologies were developed in the 19th century so of course they're missing that bit, but it's now the 21st and we're long since out of excuses for having a political analysis that doesn't include the original class relation

- Roughly half a million women in the US exited the workforce in 2025, and 42% of those who voluntarily left cited their caregiving responsibilities as the main reason, according to a recent survey from Catalyst. www.hr-brew.com/stories/2026...

- Was talking to a random nice older woman from East Isles last night and ICE came up. She then detailed, totally free of irony, her plan for reforming US government, which included the simultaneous mass execution of every leading member of the Trump administration, many of whom were mentioned by name
- Reposted by Sherman Didn't Go Far Enoughi don't particularly disagree with a lot of the critiques of anarchist activism by liberals but I bristle when they act as if their best practices are any wiser. we're here because none of us figured out how to avoid being here. everyone should have some goddamn humility.
- Reposted by Sherman Didn't Go Far Enoughwe say this guy chases polls or the Baileys or whatever, but the reality is that he’s just misaligned with Democrats. the polling is clear that this is not what Democrats want. Chuck is an ideological, pro-cop centrist. He’s saying this because it’s his policy preference. It’s what he wants.
- Reposted by Sherman Didn't Go Far Enoughmy objection to black bloc and, in fact, the entire associated set of tactics is that they don't seem to work, which i guess makes me a lib by bluesky left/liberal divisions amusingly this does not work the other way; i am not a leftist because i think nearly every democratic institution is rotten
