- Persistent reports of ICE using drones, including this highly suspected ICE drone photographed being launched from a suburban park. It’s a HoverFly Spectre, a “tethered” surveillance drone flown over unspooling fiber-optic cables. I’d be curious if anyone knows a civilian use case
- Guys they are really, really not winning It sucks what they’re doing to our country, and my city especially God only knows how much damage they’ll do before they’re stopped, much of it irreversible But they are very much not winning
- Given that they are not winning, and in fact probably cannot win, the goal needs to be stopping them, as quickly and permanently as possible, so that we have to rebuild less in the aftermath
- Their plan was to take the momentum of their initial shock victory, measly as it was, and push through all the lines of resistance, counting on each one to fold out of pragmatism, so their strength was never tested. But Minneapolis didn’t fold, their strength was tested, and they broke instead.

- For all the “drawdown” talk ICE continues to be all over Minneapolis. Feels endless
- Was talking to a random nice older woman from East Isles last night and ICE came up. She then detailed, totally free of irony, her plan for reforming US government, which included the simultaneous mass execution of every leading member of the Trump administration, many of whom were mentioned by name
- this account has spent weeks trying, with increasing success, to stir up chaos in Minnesota ICE response in order to prosecute a years-old personal feud with me. I’m blocking him but he should also be banned completely
- If random masked men are setting fires in your community, I think you should feel free to film them. Especially if dozens of other people and several national news crews are filming them. They are not "allies," they're arsonists. Grow up.
- The problem with social media is that you’re only allowed to hold opinions in batches. If you believe X and Y, you must also believe Z, which is atmospherically similar to X and Y and believed by all the same people. If you don’t do this, everyone hates you. It makes actual thinking impossible.
- What real heroism looks like is you drive past a school and it’s 7am and it’s -3 out and there are four dads posted at every door scanning every passing car to be sure it’s not someone coming to take the children. And you drive by at noon and they’re there. And you drive by at 3pm and they’re there
