- A lot of Congressional Republicans do this for various things and it’s equal parts hilarious and fucking infuriating
- 1. I fucking FEEL this 2. As someone else pointed out, it’s easy to be on the same page when everyone’s reading the same script

- Told my old man that one of our refugee families — through some kind of clerical error neither they, nor we, nor the landlord caught — owes almost $10,000 in back rent. His immediate question was “need some funds to help out?” I said I doubt if he has that kind of cash lying around. His reply? ❤️

Among independents it's 61-33 *Majority says Trump on immigration is making America less safe Again, there's broad rejection of the whole project, not just ICE tactics (see below)
- Vast camps are central to Trumpism. Stephen Miller has long been very excited about them. Backlash is another sign that opposition to Trump/Miller runs deeper than revulsion at ICE. There's real resistance to the whole ideological project of mass deportations. 4/ newrepublic.com/article/2060...
- Reposted by Cav(R), Gentleman Roguethey don't have enough guys, and if the response in Minnesota shows anything it is that trying something like this is going to drive a much larger backlash than anything they hope to gain out of it "oh well I guess we'll just stay home" is not how this is going to go

- Reposted by Cav(R), Gentleman RogueI got in SO MUCH trouble for this hugely viral tweet back in 2018 (from MAGA types mostly) but I stand by it (and in fact at the time the Auschwitz Museum defended me when people yelled at me that Auschwitz was a “death camp” not a concentration camp). My DENTIST congratulated me for this one
- Reposted by Cav(R), Gentleman RogueI think one thing people outside Minnesota don't understand is that after Good and Pretti were killed by feds while observing, the most normal people you could imagine have made peace with the fact that they could be next, and they are still out there because they say it's the right thing to do.
- “If I am killed doing this, throw my body at the White House, martyr the shit out of me & raise hell. Do not be sad. Do not think I would do anything differently. I would do it over & over again — this is too important to sit down & shut up and not do anything.” www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
- The evil and mismanagement of Jeff Bezos aside, Ukraine is suffering from the same problem that Gaza is after Trump’s election: people have other things that are pressing and closer to home. Just or unjust, that’s the reality. The people of, say… Minneapolis? Ukraine isn’t on their minds. Nor Gaza.

- I was at an action where we were trying to get a certain group of masked and armed individuals to leave another group of people alone. We actually convinced them to go, juice not being worth the squeeze. Someone had slashed their tires. Exactly the opposite of what we needed. But nobody snitched.

- 8yo got home and excitedly told me someone asked her to be their Valentine. “Who?” “Nathan.” “Who is that?” “A boy from my class.” “And what do you think of Nathan?” “Eh. He’s annoying sometimes but nice.” “Hmm. I annoy your mom some, too.” “Yeah.” “What did you tell him?” “I’d ask my parents.”

- In this video I am seeing a sort of logic that amounts to “I am once again going to stand in front of this vehicle with my weapon drawn and pointed at the driver’s face because the last guy to do so was allowed to kill someone and face zero consequences and I want to do that, too.”

- The most basic thing I tell people when they go out to protest is that, legally speaking, you have zero expectation of privacy when you are in public. Anyone can film you, including cops. Stancil’s a douche but if you don’t want your face on camera, covering it is the most basic 101 shit, man.

A Kafkaesque form of domestic surveillance, intimidating Americans for lawful speech. New from us at the Post: www.washingtonpost.com/investigatio... @johnwoodrowcox.bsky.social
- EVEN IF THIS IS TRUE, which I’m not inclined to believe, it’s a perfect example of DHS shooting themselves in the foot by eroding any sense of trust they may have had (deserved or not, mostly not) from the population. Now everyone expects them to act like villains and nothing more.
