- Thanks to all our dear friends for the warm words and offers to help. Weizmann was hit by a missile last night- a devastating nightmare 😭. Thank God no one is hurt, but there’s significant damage to many labs. I’m stuck abroad, waiting desperately to be able to go home to my family and my lab 🙏
- #GRC_Angiogenesis is approaching and we don't want anyone left out due to the current situation! We are actively raising funds to help our American friends and colleagues affected by budget freezes. Reach out to me ASAP if you need help! Let's ensure that politics doesn't get in the way of science!
- Haven’t submitted your abstract for #GRC_Angiogenesis yet? Haven't registered? As such, I've received several requests over the past few months from scientists interested in being selected for an oral PPT. 1/n
- So far, so good! I love that people are proactive, believe in their research, and take the initiative to promote themselves! But... looking back at my notes, I realize I have not received a single such email from a woman scientist 😔...
- There are many reasons for this, like lacking confidence in the level of one's own research, or feeling it’s not appropriate to contact the organizer—like “no one does that.” I highlight these because they were my own struggles as a young investigator, but I'm sure there are more...
