- Reposted by Andrew PrzybylskiIf you truly believe that social media platforms are harmful places, the idea that the government now makes a list of vulnerable people and bans them from these platforms, e.g. based on age, is not a sensible or good faith solution. Regulate the platforms instead, for everybody.

- Reposted by Andrew Przybylski"Social media is like a Skinner box" is a phrase I've heard repeated a lot, but never meaningfully engaged with. We try and do so in this preprint. Behaviorist principles are very useful to understanding digital behavior, but work in this area tends not to be aware of them. So, we provide a primer.
- Our preprint has evolved! v2 of “Digital Behaviourism” is out now with a new title, new co-authors, and a deeper dive into the behavioural concepts that shape our online lives. It’s time to move beyond “screen time” and focus on function of online behaviours. osf.io/preprints/ps...

- Reposted by Andrew Przybylskiit's really good that Oracle bought TikTok, a business that only loses money, at a time when it took on $56bn+ in debt and $240bn in lease obligations for GPUs to rent to OpenAI, a company that will run out of money. This could all have the funniest ending ever
