- This made me laugh at the calmness of the response. Australia is crazy sometimes, here it’s living up to the stereotype. It’s hard not to believe the stories are true, snakes and other venomous creatures are just like friends wanting to get home after a night out. youtube.com/shorts/s9RdN...
- Reposted by Sean GeogheganThe Australian flag is now a symbol of racial hatred and white supremacy. During the 1960s, Canada's previous Red Ensign flag, which featured a Union Jack, was also associated with racists. That's why Canada switched to the current maple leaf design🇨🇦 Time for Australia to change its flag. #auspol
- Horribly informative, with deadpan humour that cuts deep onto how Americans might see themselves. Matter of fact, with disturbing facts of life in the USA. Hopefully you will never find this information useful in your life.

- Reposted by Sean GeogheganRe-upping this article in the Guardian Oz, about my research into the extreme harm being caused by Wes Streeting's puberty-blocker ban. UK mainstream media has collectively ignored my research (as I expected) but not the Guardian Australia. Needless the UK and US Guardian's didn't share it.
- A perfect dad joke built on current affairs - I managed to shaggy dog this story in conversation today, getting a rare laugh: “Did you know that on the premiere of Melanie there was only one seat sold, and that over the opening weekend only nine seats were sold. It’s not surprising that …
- Hot day in the sun, burning already after just getting out of bed. Definitely not sleeping while the world is turning. Worth the drive up from Burra in South Australia. A decent find on this family trip.
- A hot day in Burra, South Australia, at 42C. Doggo resting on the cool slate, ignorant of the heat outside and the geopolitical climate. Happy to have this hound with us on a trips to see family. George is a very good boy, especially when he takes a dip at Henley Beach, just floating there.

- A play list for the age, something I’d play over and over. Help Simeon build it. It will be a banger and something to jump to.
- AI hallucinations lead to wasted travel by tourists. This type of outcome will increasingly worsen without investment in appropriate quality control by AI users. I suspect the need for AI QC creates costs that will require real intelligence to overcome AI induced liabilities. Could be a fun job!
- I didn’t expect such a cool vibe on this topic, music to groove to. Take a listen, unfortunately it ends too soon. Where is the original?

The physicist who led that transformation says the same playbook could work anywhere—if governments have the courage to change the rules.”

- Walking George along the river on a warm Summer day here in Melbourne. A very quiet start to 2026. Nice to be here. Having a greyhound in one’s life brings joy. Hounds are beautiful creatures.
- The multiple losses incurred by businesses in Russia reminds me of vampire economies, in which sections of a population are targeted for financial extraction. It always ends badly once the targets are exhausted. A few more years to go perhaps. Hope for a quicker end, within weeks, may be misplaced.
- The original poster deleted their post. In lieu of their link to the article, here is the link to the original: www.media.mit.edu/publications... A brief explainer is found on The Conversation at: theconversation.com/mit-research... I think that the use of the term "harm" may be at issue.
- Reposted by Sean Geoghegan1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but 2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but 3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So 4. Now the LLM code points to malware.
- What happens to your brain when you use an AI assistant to help write something? This MIT study found that using ChatGPT to help write essays leads to long-term cognitive harm. I’m not surprised as I dabbled and found LLMs far too superficial to help me with writing. It’s a shallow mirror to me.
- Nice to see such clarity. Trans rights are human rights. There is no exception to being kind and considerate to each other, especially where there is empowered consent, acceptance, and respect. It’s harmful to do otherwise, hurting ourselves and others if we are bigoted in our actions. Ace job here.
- The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality. And trans lives are grounded in reality. We see y'all. No matter what. www.popsci.com/science/tran...
