- What an offer!!! Get signed up for this weekend!
- I am absolutely thrilled that the @1972shp.bsky.social Developing Teachers' Conference has signed up 95 teachers of history for Saturday, nearly doubling last year's attendance. BUT I really want to hit three figures so am offering 5 free places to the first 5 people who DM me asking for them!

- Three dog beds, two sofas, two beds… but she sleeps on a children’s coat on the floor. So this is what happens when I’m at work!

- Reposted by Sasha SmithDating from around 1865, this hooded parka from the Aleutian Islands in southern Alaska is made from seal intestines, a naturally waterproof & windproof material. Both robust & decorative, these seal gut parkas would have been used daily to keep warm & dry in this harsh environment. bit.ly/4oRZuCC

- Gorgeous afternoon on the Viking Way, walking in muddy fields in brilliant winter sun. A lovely way to end an amazing year!

- That’s my first 6 months on SLT done. In that time I’ve worked and become friends with an amazing team made changes, finished an MA, published a 3 year research report, turned 40, and just when the end of term was in sight, survived two Ofsteds in the last two weeks before Christmas. What a ride!!
- Excited to see Carmel’s new book available to pre-order. In the basket, and looking forward to the release in April. Carmel’s experience in the classroom is unreal, and I can’t wait to read this treasure trove of wisdom. Proud of you @carmelbones.bsky.social 👏🏼
- Huge congratulations to Sarah and Andrea on their Teaching History article. Great example of how we can champion lesser known voices in history, on this occasion, and so pleased to see the ESIS report being put into action. 👏🏼 @sehartsmith.bsky.social @endsexisminschools.bsky.social

- Hammered on most listened by my 8 year olds love of K-Pop demon hunters and Hamilton, but where it’s my music, it appears I’m the same age as my parents. A strong year 🤦🏻♀️
- So disappointed to receive an email from Girlguiding stating that as of today they are no longer trans inclusive. Such a blow to what had been such an inclusive organisation, and such a sad indictment of the times we are living through.

- Reposted by Sasha SmithStill reeling from the Stanford report on Brexit. Reduced GDP by up to 8% and investment by as much as 18%. The UK Treasury would have £40 billion more each year if Britain had remained in the EU. Devastating self-immolation.
- Sunday afternoon checking out fairy circles before sunset.

- Marrakech has well and truly stolen my heart
- Huge thanks to Educate for this feature on our @endsexisminschools.bsky.social History report, alongside @katemossewriter.bsky.social ‘Change is needed’. 💪🏻
- Besotted with Marrakech 🇲🇦 🌞 ♥️
- Trying to correct a lifetime of rushing to the airport, and I may have over corrected. I’m not sure there’s enough in Bishop’s Stortford for 18 hours 🙃
- Is it even a holiday if you’re not trying to leave for the airport and the dog tries to ensure she’s packed too? Bonus points for pretending to be asleep so unable to move.
