- Reposted by EmmyI saw today a student-facing behaviour policy that lists as one of its reasons for immediate removal from class “Public refusal to follow rules” and I think this is rather good - that it encapsulates (far better than “low level disruption”) the main reason for sanctions in schools🧵#UkEd #EduSky

- As always, the elephant in the room is the parents. If they go home and retreat to social media, that’s the problem of the people at home. And so much of behaviour is a result of the people in their lives from the day they’re born, not the teachers they see at school 8.30-3.30 in term time.

- Reposted by EmmyThe UK version of “Project 2025” by the Reform party includes a British ICE, a concentration camp for 24,000 people, mass surveillance and withdrawing from refugee, anti-torture and anti-trafficking conventions. It’s on their website. That’s how comfortable fascists are in the UK today.

- One of the reasons why Key Stage 3 can be ambitious is because students are capable of a lot more than you think. I’ve long argued that we shouldn’t be wasting time in history teaching going over “history skills” because they’ve been studying history for 6 years already.
