- Bare-Throated Tiger Heron. The most ancient of the still living Heron lines. And yet so sophisticated a fashion sense: heron-bone tweed. Makes you wonder what life there was before that is no more, and we'll never see.
- New birds everyday. Costs Rica is a tiny country but has 2.5% of the world’s #biodiversity.
- Thd Boat-Billed Heron. The unique beak is used in very traditional Heron ways: Spearing and grabbing. It seems to be more for display than function In bonding, the male holds the female's beak at the tip and they move, rhythmically together for several minutes. 1/2

- Good to see. The administration has vowed impunity for lawless violence. Those who believe in the rule of law must vow accountability.

- I am hearing that RFK Jr.’s minions are going to go after HPV vaccines. I’ve got problems with these people and now you’re going to hear about them, first from a personal perspective and then from a professional one. It all boils down to this: WE HAVE A SAFE VACCINE THAT PREVENTS CANCER.

- I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

View full threadI don't want to paint a rosy picture, because it's a city under siege. People are being abducted all the time. One person told me about watching 1-2 abductions a day, just in her own work following ICE.
- But when I asked an organizer what they wanted to see out of press coverage, they told me they wanted people to see the beautiful things they are building here, and not just the worst stories of the worst of ICE's crimes. What people are doing here is beautiful. It's a tragic beauty, but a real one
