Do you remember the sketch - it may have been The Young Ones - about a student in digs ‘preparing’ a new jar of Marmite? Adding toast crumbs, stirring some butter in, etc. My missus does that (not deliberately), where I try to keep it pristine. We‘ll end up with separate jars one day.
