- ⚠️ One week left to submit your abstract to the 2026 @embo.org Workshop on #Pathogen #Immunity and #Signaling. 👇
- 🔥 Mark the date! 🗓️ Millésime 2026 of the @embo.org Workshop on Pathogen Immunity and Signaling has arrived. Terrific roster of speakers, many spots for talks, spectacular venue in Leiden. Submit your abstract. Join us on 8 – 11 June 2026. meetings.embo.org/event/26-pat...
- 🌈 Glory to the international labs. This is our new weekly routine. 👇
- The concept of antagonisitic pleiotropy in aging (well established for senescence) revisited for the case of infectious diseases. 👇
- @globalimmuno.bsky.social replay here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFr4... Enjoy. Thanks to the wonderful team for making this happen.

- 🔥In two days!
- You bet. Thanks so much to the amazing @erc.europa.eu, the panel members and the reviewers!
- Very excited and honored that our project CenAGE with @manellab.bsky.social and Elsa Logarinho was granted! Looking forward to discover how centromere instability affects the immune cells contributing to systemic ageing. More Info here: curie.fr/actualite/no... Open positions soon, stay tuned!
- 🔥👇 The place to be.
- My team is recruiting a Study Engineer (IE) with experience in mammalian cell culture - ideally human iPSCs - to work on a project exploring the role of aneuploidy and centromere regulation in neuroblastoma initiation and progression. info and application here institut-curie.org/job/study-en....

- Fantastic seminar today by Norbert Pardi from @upenn.edu who did the pioneering work with Katalin Kariko and Drew Weissman to unlock mRNA nanoparticules. mRNA nanoparticules are the therapeutics of tomorrow!
- 🔥Really cool work by our neighbors @dfachinetti.bsky.social together with Stanford's only @naltemose.bsky.social showcasing the ability to tune DNA methylation specifically in centromeric DNA, in turn affecting the identity and functionality of centromeres.
- #1 Centromeres are epigenetic loci defined by CENP-A, positioned in unmethylated DNA flanked by highly methylated regions. Our work, published in @natgenet.nature.com in collaboration with @naltemose.bsky.social investigates the role of DNAme at human centromeres www.nature.com/articles/s41...
- Erika Valeri & Moriz Gaidt @impvienna.bsky.social put together a very nice "Spotlights" piece in the latest issue of Molecular Cell @cp-molcell.bsky.social about the antiviral defense system VICAR and some of the avenues of research it opens. 🙏 to the authors www.cell.com/molecular-ce...
- Thrilled to be part of the late 2025 roster of @globalimmuno.bsky.social See you all on November 26th! Thanks so much to the organisers for putting this together.
- Really cool highlight of our work @cp-cell.bsky.social describing VICAR, a novel antiviral defense system in humans, where centromeres take the center stage. Thank you so much Fumiko @esashilab.bsky.social for your insightful review and the beautiful working model.

- Happy to let you know that the plasmids (except one, pending QC) from our study describing the VICAR antiviral defense system are now available through @addgene.bsky.social here: www.addgene.org/browse/artic... Thanks @addgene.bsky.social for making this possible!
- Thrilled to share our latest @cp-cell.bsky.social. We present VICAR (VIral-induced Centromeric DNA Amplification and Recognition), a new defense system to detect viruses in the nucleus based on nuclear cGAS. www.cell.com/cell/abstrac...
- Trans...genes! Celebrating upcoming publication from @audeber.bsky.social and Enzo Poirier at the unique Learning Center Institute in Paris

- How does a cell detect infection by a DNA virus in its nucleus?
- Check out Randmice 2.0 from our colleagues @ Stimunity Biotech. It became an essential tool for us to optimize animal randomization for in vivo experiments. And it's free! randmice.com
- Soren Paludan @civia-aarhus.bsky.social kicks off a wonderful 2-day workshop on antiviral host defense. Looking forward to catching up will all the speakers and participants!
- So thrilled to participate in the #EMBO workshop on aneuploidy in the magnificient Stresa. Cheers to the many organizers including @dfachinetti.bsky.social

- Showcasing this exciting paper from our good friends Fachinetti lab @institutcurie.bsky.social. #Centromere inactivation triggers #senescence: mis-segregated chromosomes deform the nuclear envelope and activate TORC2-ATR. We helped with #cGAS and some key suggestions. doi.org/10.1038/s415...
