- 📝 Using the international PIAAC dataset on labour-market-relevant cognitive skills, we estimate child penalties in numeracy, literacy, and problem-solving. We adapt the so-called pseudo-panel approach to show the evolution of skills around the birth of a women's & men's first child in 29 countries.

- 📝 In the paper, we document strong gender stereotypes in German newspaper articles on female and male company leaders, verify that the stereotypes are not backed up by actual characteristics of managers, and experimentally show that they have (financial) consequences for the firms and their leaders.
