- Reposted by Sebastian SchnettlerI just called Disney+ to cancel my account and had the most joyful interaction with an operator who was laughing the entire time about how many people had canceled today. I can only imagine how it feels to spend an entire day witnessing how many people want to stop fascism.

- Developments long predicted by demographers & social scientists are increasingly being felt on a day-to-day basis. Same here: these days, the kindergarten group of our youngest son is closed several days a week. And that's only one of many life domains where labor shortages can be felt these days.

- Reposted by Sebastian SchnettlerMuch of the discussion of open science centers on detecting fraud or errors, but a big, and arguably bigger, benefit is in efficiency. Take the simple example of code. How much collective time is lost when scholars start from scratch, rather than building (w/ attribution) on other scholars' code?
