- I've signed an open letter alongside colleagues in Holyrood and Westminster to Ofcom, urging rejection of the application to merge STV North with Central, which would disadvantage north audiences. You can have your say here: ofcom.savestvnorth.com The public consultation closes on 9th February.
- Parliament is all-go right now as we work on getting legislation through before dissolution. I've been out and about between sittings, knocking doors and talking about your priorities for Inverness & Nairn.
- We must give local authorities every tool possible to prevent wildfires like the one that devastated Dava Moor last year. I'm delighted my amendment, which will support local by-laws with fixed-penalty notice schemes, was supported by Parliament tonight.
- It's been a busy week - I was glad to finish it up with some chats with constituents, over coffee and on the doors. Here's some of what I got up to 👇
- It was a pleasure to be able to lead a debate on Growing2Gether's work with young people after visiting some of the folk involved in Kinmylies last year. This works, and we should do all we can to promote and support it 👇

- I'm here to help - including BSL users. I spoke in the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee debate on its BSL inquiry yesterday 👇
- The Nairn Bypass is an urgent and necessary project and I've continued to press the Transport Secretary for timescales, including in a debate yesterday 👇 📰 Read more: emmaroddick.scot/202...
- 💛 I've been out and about with local SNP activists, knocking as many doors as I can, speaking to locals in Inverness & Nairn about their priorities. 📋 If I haven't got to you yet, I'd still love to hear from you. You can share your views at www.emmaroddick.scot/vote

- I had a fantastic Friday, getting formally adopted by Inverness & Nairn SNP as the local candidate! We raised money for the campaign and were treated to poetry by Myra Ross. 💛 Thanks to all who joined. If you'd like to get involved, please visit: www.emmaroddick.scot/campaign
- I've got my flu jab 💉 have you? Flu can be serious, especially for older people and those with underlying conditions. Getting vaccinated is the best way to protect yourself, your loved ones, and our NHS over the winter period 💙🏥🏴 Find out more: www.nhsinform.scot/flu
- The SNP campaign to retain Inverness & Nairn has well and truly kicked off! To help out, visit www.emmaroddick.scot/campaign, where you can donate, volunteer, and share your thoughts on local priorities. The SNP and independence are the best way forward for Inverness & Nairn. 💛🏴
- As the cold sets in, many people need support. I've added some extra information to my Cost of Living support page with info that may be able to help you over winter: emmaroddick.scot/cos... If I can assist, please reach out - I'm here to help.

- I am grateful to those who reached out about Inverness Women's Aid funding. Like many of you, I know intimately how vital these services are. On Monday, I spoke with IWA and wrote to the Highland Council, councillor colleagues, & the Scottish Government to see what can be done.
- One of my most difficult cases was when a brave wee girl came forward to share that she had been abused, but her mother still had to let her spend unsupervised time with the alleged abuser. I asked ScotGov about this today (1/2)
- The Fireworks Act could prevent a lot of distress and harm to animals, if the government brought forward restrictions on sale and use - per calls from animal welfare charities. I asked the First Minister about this and will follow up with written correspondence to keep making the case. 🐱 🎆
- For World Mental Health Day earlier this month, I shared the story of my mannequin, Body of Work, and how he came to be, via Centred. Read more on my website: emmaroddick.scot/202...
- 📅 October's over! November is already shaping up to be hectic - but here's a quick look back first.

- It was fantastic to get confirmation from the Cabinet Secretary for Climate Action @gillianamartin.bsky.social this week that new guidance has been published to ensure communities get first dibs when it comes to sites on public land due for repowering. Read more: emmaroddick.scot/202...
- This is great progress; ensuring local folk can see real benefit and take ownership of infrastructure, rather than being treated simply as hosts. The SNP Government taking a lead on this step forward is brilliant news. See the full Q&A: www.parliament.scot/...
- Chilly canvass session in Auldearn this weekend - thanks to everyone who took the time to chat, and our hardy, hardworking SNP activists. Conversations ranged from housing and energy prices to the bizarreness of Scottish football!
- This Challenge Poverty Week, I'm very aware that people are struggling for all sorts of reasons. From energy advice to mental health support in your area, I've pulled together some local support here: emmaroddick.scot/cos...
- Huge highlights this week, between the Housing Bill passing and getting to see the new Nairn Academy take shape. I've kept trying to push issues forward between parliamentary business, meeting with locals and pursuing casework.
- Ahead of #WorldAnimalDay tomorrow, Blue would like to remind you: 1. It's all about her 2. The SSPCA works hard to ensure all animals in Scotland, including wee rescued Blue, live the best lives possible 3. The SSPCA needs to know she doesn't get enough Dreamies 🐈⬛
- Meet "Body of Work", who will be part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival exhibit at Eden Court, which I've taken part in through Centred. Body of Work struggles with the physical impacts of his mental illness, but his "just a crutch" medication helps him to create beautiful things anyway.
- It was such a treat to walk around the Nairn Academy construction site with Balfour Beatty and the Highland Council - with fewer than 300 days to handover, it's so exciting to see the school take shape! This is a huge investment by the SNP Government and there's great excitement about it.
- The Housing Bill has passed! 🥳 It has been so special as someone with experience of homelessness to take part in hours of debate on amendments, including my own which passed unanimously. This is a huge win for tenants & a crucial step towards tackling Scotland's housing emergency. @snp.org
