- the entire WaPo situation is obviously terrible but from a soccer angle, it's hard to imagine the paper will cover the Spirit/DCU much, if at all anymore. that is an enormous loss for soccer fans in the region and really, to those teams as well.

- True story: we put this out the morning they put shovels in the ground at Audi Field. Fully expected "they finally did it" articles to run the day, with this piece being a nice bonus. Over the next 24 hours @blazindw.bsky.social's Waldos article put up like 20x all of our other traffic combined.
