- Absolutely fascinating morning read by Jake Quist on the future of walled-garden social media apps like Facebook and LinkedIn in a new era of desktop agents like OpenClaw. www.jakequist.com/thoughts/big...
- By the way, finished season 2 of #Fallout and it continues to be a near perfect adaptation of the game series. A lot, and I mean A LOT, of other franchises should look at this show as a good example of bringing an IP to the TV or big screen. Looking forward to season 3.
- Budget app is finished I think. My brain is goo right now. Give it a try and let me know if you find any bugs. kyaaron.github.io/Quick-Pocket... #learninpublic #buildinpublic #100Devs
- I've been working through a budget tracking app and using localStorage to store the data users will input. Here's a short article on what I've learned so far. medium.com/@amccollum.d... #100devs #webdevelopment #learninginpublic
- I can see the appeal of working in a coffee shop. I'm now a fan.
- Giving Loops a try. I’m wanting to use fediverse tech as much as I can, and Loops just dropped their iOS app a week or so ago. Loops is like Skylight but I can access it outside the US and it’s built on Activity Pub instead of AT.
- Our band is learning The Distance by Cake and I'm the bass player and man I got my work cut out for me.
- Reading up on Moltbook. It looks like a fun project, but also this is the dead internet theory playing out in front of us in real time. Do we really want this? www.theguardian.com/technology/2...
- I've been writing applications and coding for about 6 years now. I have never seen what the front page of Stack Overflow looks like. I just know the page for individual questions and answers 😂
- It's deserved. The Switch was a fantastic piece of innovation, brining the handheld and console hardware together into one device that did both things. As a Pokemon fan who always wanted more higher-powered 3D adventures on a console, this was a huge deal. The Zelda games were also insane.
- Loving Tailwind CSS. Now that I'm using it more often and committing some things to muscle memory, it's making the styling of an app much easier, especially when I'm doing mobile-first styling. One thing that's needed though - a native "toggle" element in HTML. #learninginpublic #webdev #100devs
- This is a good start from @mozilla.org and Firefox, but AI settings should be OFF by default with the ability for people to turn it on when they install. I’m a fan of a choice but “implicit consent” is a bad idea. I hope this is eventually updated. www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/softwar...
- I really think all the stuff from the last few years ruined Belichick's first ballot HOF status. The last few years with the Patriots were not great without Brady, and then the drama with his girlfriend and UNC. If he had retired after Tom left and lived a quiet life, he'd be in the HOF.
- Um yeah @wtopnews.bsky.social - into my neighbor's yard.
- I love all types of football in all weather. Sometimes it's not as pretty but that's fine, it's still football in the outdoors in the elements. We're getting away from that slowly but surely and moving towards some sort of manicured plastic dome experience. That is the sad part.
- Reposted by AaronI regret to inform you the head of Instagram quietly announced last month that videos on the platform he runs can no longer be trusted to be real and it is only a matter of time before that becomes the immediate authoritarian response to any atrocity www.theverge.com/news/852124/...
- If Jimmy Haslam wanted to do anything right by the Browns and the fanbase, if he wanted to actually help the team win more and achieve success in the future, he should sell immediately. Take his unearned money. And leave Cleveland for good. #Browns
- Insanity from a front office who thinks they are so high and mighty and God's gift to the world of football. They've gone 59-105-1 in the past 10 years by the way. Absolute insanity and proof that nothing will change with Haslam. #Browns www.dawgsbynature.com/cleveland-br...
- Newest app is up and running. This one is actually a useful one! It’s a running tracking app that uses localStorage to keep track of your runs. I will build more features to this one before nicer weather hits. kyaaron.github.io/dashtrack-ru... #100devs #learninginpublic
- Arcane was so good. I hope Riot makes some more shows like that. It's been recommended that I watch Pantheon next, so that will be the next show.

- Made a few updates. Added a favicon, and I added the ability to search monsters as well! Just select a dropdown option to tailor your search. Lastly I added a check for bad responses, so the user can be notified if the search query failed. #100devs #learninginpublic #dnd
- (1/2) Getting some more work in with APIs. I made a quick Dungeons and Dragons spell search app. It currently doesn't handle incorrect input which I'll probably add in tomorrow. kyaaron.github.io/Dungeons-and...

- Arcane is so so good. What a show.
- There are a lot of skimmable financial predictions in this article, but the main point is clear: AI will be a salesman, just like Google search and the Facebook news feed before it. It will start "separated" from answers, but soon expect integration. ossa-ma.github.io/blog/openads
- Giving up on Jekyll for now. I've spent the last 3.5 hours or so trying to get it downloaded by the eventmachine gem isn't working. Tried several workarounds, uninstalled and reinstalled a bunch, and yeah not worth it.
