- Becca Blyn and I co-wrote a piece for Science Policy in a SNAP (the @snapcoalition.bsky.social awesome blog on Medium). Medium only lets you have 1 “author” which is silly. Becca and I hope you enjoy, reflect on today, and learn something new!
- World NTD day is also the perfect time for me to have a committee meeting for my dissertation work, so I’m off to go finish prepping for that 😂
- Absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to attend my first #AAASmtg with a group from @snapcoalition.bsky.social !! We have so many chances to connect and meet new folks. Will I see you at our panel? Reception? Booth?

- My first last day of teaching! It’s been a busy semester teaching my self-designed course on disease control and systems thinking, but I’m so grateful for the 10 students who stayed along with me for this journey. Some reflections from this past semester:
- 1. Has it always been so difficult to get undergrads to speak in class at first? They all majorly came out of their shell through the semester, but wow we started off pulling hairs. I’m feeling for my professors in undergrad when I sat in silence!
- 2. Written reflections are unique among their curriculum, and really valuable. I wanted this course to challenge them to realize “there is no right answer” all the time, and it took a bit to get out of the research paper style they are used to.
