- (ode to the default purple visited link color) how honest, like a sigh at the end of a day. like sweat on the brow and prints in the snow. don't posture to me with the eager blueness of a fresh link, but settle with me in the purple coming home.
- put down your paint. you were once strange to me, words draped across the entrance of a closed door. i passed through your threshold and felt an indelible kiss. we have tread the trails. we have ventured through it all, and what can we do now but sag into the change it has wrought.
- i wrote this post about generative AI for the Fathom blog! the short answer is no, we have no interest in using it, but hopefully the post provides some interesting insight into why and how it interferes with our work. www.fathom.info/notebook/260...

- Reposted by katherineHi. I’ve been editor-in-chief of Teen Vogue for the last 4.5 years — a dream job, one I never thought a Brown girl from small town Louisiana might hold. I am so incredibly proud of the work we’ve done and what we accomplished. Our journalism has won major awards. (cont’d)
- wrapped up a big project at work last week — our data exploration tool is now available as a desktop app! no subscription necessary, one-time payment, nothing gets sent to a server, open CSVs and Excel files as big as 10GB and have fun doing it :) more here: www.fathom.info/notebook/251...

- Reposted by katherinehumans sealed our fate when we started working with computers to design languages more and more like our own. the computers learned our grammar, our vocabulary, yes. but they learned our rhetoric, the malleability of meaning. we gave the machines our words, and they used them to lie.
