- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)Obviously I'm not a woman and it's much, much more likely that ADHD goes undiagnosed in women than in men, but this is exactly what it looked like for me as well. Diagnosis changed my life in a big way.
- The “overdiagnosed ADHD” debate continues… but here’s what late diagnosis looks like for many women: ❌ Years of criticism ❌ No support = low self-esteem, guilt and shame ✅ Diagnosis = clarity, healing and feeling like life is more worth living This matters. So does the research #AuDHD

- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)the amount of stories I read from women being diagnosed at age 30+ is honestly such a big failure and I'm glad they (and me!) are finally getting the support they need after this amount of time. imagine having a broken wrist for 30 years and nobody noticing? that'd be unconsciable. alas!

- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)Yep. There was a year in my childhood where a teacher I didn't get along w/ suggested I might have ADD. My mom took offense & I managed to do "better," but man. If I had been diagnosed then, my life would have been so different. I still struggle w/ self-worth, but the diagnosis did help at the time.

- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)Happy International Workers' Day! A perfect day to join a union!
- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)Four, the uni tried a previous large-scale reduction of PS staff less than a decade ago, and it was an unmitigated disaster. We're not seeing any reason to believe things will be different now, especially given questions on how we'll manage with fewer staff are answered with "just work smarter!"
- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)Three, you cannot claim to be running a voluntary severance scheme while holding back the threat of compulsory redundancy. People are negotiating with a gun to their head, and the university keeps pretending to not notice this.
- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)Q1: Why are we striking? We're striking because the university refuses to rule out compulsory redundancies in the near future. They are doing this in case their latest round of Voluntary Severance doesn't reach a £20 million savings target.
- Reposted by Dr Eve Holden (she/her)Also, while we're talking about our strike, a lot of students have been asking how they can support us (being fully aware of who actually has their backs in this uni), and what it means to cross (or not cross) a picket line in this case. We'll defer here to our excellent Instagram team on this one.
