Interesting discussion going on atm between Ruben and @williamcostello.bsky.social on the appropriate ways to defend (or not) Evolutionary Psychology but I wanted to pick up this point here. How many internal critics stay in the field? How many throw up their hands and walk away? 1/?

  One such exception is Brendan Zietsch, who is also a frequent critic of the adaptationist default. He might actually be the closest thing the field has to a loyal opposition. Personally, my experiences doing replications in EP made me switch fields.
