- Reposted by Kat RohnThis commotion was for Driving While Latina in WSP. What drawdown are they talking about?
- These operations are going to have a long tail even when they end, on people, families, schools, and businesses. We’re going to need to step up to sustain the vibrancy of this beautiful state. www.kare11.com/article/news...
- Reposted by Kat RohnAxios had a story today about how hard Minnesota’s economy is being hit and how slow the recovery could be. So, I’m going to take this opportunity to say that if you want to support the Twin Cities, you should plan a visit for this summer, spend some money here, & see how amazing it is for yourself.
- Reposted by Kat RohnWhile the federal government continues to show hate towards our neighbors, it’s important that Minneapolis stands firm in its commitment to protect our trans and gender-nonconforming neighbors. Jason Chavez 5/

- Reposted by Kat RohnI’m extremely disappointed in the decision made by Children’s Minnesota to temporarily pause some gender-affirming care practices starting on February 27, 2026. Gender-affirming care is evidence-based and life-saving. 1/
- Reposted by Kat RohnAmericans, we are living in a time of viciousness. We are living in a time where speaking the “wrong” language or having the “wrong” skin color puts you in danger. Congress must disband ICE and impeach Kristi Noem.
- There are no words.
- Thank you. 🌈
- Never say Minnesotans don't have a sense of humor.
- This. And it’s true on every front. They are outnumbered 10:1 and growing in every field of play. 2-3,000 field agents against 20-30,000 field observers and *more* in community aid. In court they are down to handful of exhausted lawyers against…hundreds of not thousands of attorneys.
- Wow.
- The most important work is the work that you aren't hearing about. There is good work happening. On many fronts.
- I don’t trust the word of anyone who would take a $50,000 bribe in a paper bag. And 700 fewer still leaves *a lot* of people terrorizing my neighbors on the daily. What is clear: They are losing. On every front. Keep up the good work, Minnesotans. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
- A gentle reminder for politicians: It's one thing if someone says they care about an issue, another if they show up for it. It's a whole different level when they show up daily at risk to themselves. And they are. They can show up for you, too. Work to elect you. If you show up too. Do the work.
- WIN. Until they’re all home. Until we’re all safe.
- I just got off the phone with Elizabeth's dad...she and her mom were freed tonight! Updated story: sahanjournal.com/education/co...
- Reposted by Kat RohnMy resolution calling for the immediate repeal of the Laken Riley Act was adopted unanimously in Precinct 9-8. This is a tangible action members of Congress can take today. If your member of Congress voted for this act that violates due process, it’s time to vote for a new person in office.
- Reposted by Kat RohnThe whistles are the entry point. But the long game is the community that is being formed every time someone who has never really been engaged before decides to do This One Thing that gives them a reason to talk to their neighbors. Community is what saves us in the end. That is my belief.

- NEW: A federal judge said uses of force against peaceful protesters and journalists appeared to be escalating in Portland. He ordered sharp restrictions to DHS agents' use of force and chemical munitions. w/ @joshgerstein.bsky.social @natsfert.bsky.social www.politico.com/news/2026/02...
- Reposted by Kat RohnI am calling on @icegov.bsky.social Director Todd Lyons to immediately confirm or deny the existence of a “domestic terrorist” database. If true, you’re violating the Constitution. If not, maybe talk to your “border czar” to get your stories straight. This isn’t a game–it’s the Constitution.

- I am on a panel right now talking about the current state of gender care and trans rights in Minnesota; but I know there are many questions around today's news in the state. If you have a question: Drop it here, and I will get to it when I am able. Care to folks.
- Some really hard news.
- Today, it was announced that Children’s Minnesota plans to pause medical gender care services for youth patients starting in March. Read our full statement at outfront.org/news.

- “We have to keep showing up for each other,” said Fairbanks, whose site already has almost 2 million visits. “And we do that by starting with the really small things.” 🩵💙
- Reminding people that the stated reason for this whole occupation was “fraud.” Not only are they shoveling money into a hate machine that is doing everything but finding fraudsters; their disregard for the constitution and rule of law has decimated the office that is supposed to prosecute fraud.
- According to this article from last week, they were down to 17 attorneys. So now just 9? In an office that usually has at least 50. www.politico.com/news/magazin...
- Reposted by Kat RohnThat means ~815k Minnesotans participated in the shutdown and ~310k in the strike. That would make Minnesota’s January 23 general strike one of the largest in history.
- A new poll finds that 1 in 4 Minnesota voters took part in the Jan 23 shutdown against ICE, or have a loved one who did. Of those, 38% DID NOT WORK, either because they made the choice to stay out, or their workplaces closed. By me, @thomasbirm.bsky.social, @bloomekatz.bsky.social

- Dream team.
- Reposted by Kat RohnThe phrase "professional activist" is functionally meaningless. It's a term that politicians and corporate targets have used for generations to discredit anyone who's effectively challenged them. Anyone who deploys it in earnest to discredit deeply committed people is broadcasting their ignorance.

- Body cameras aren’t stopping harm. It’s questionable if they will even be left on to capture it. ICE OUT

- Reposted by Kat RohnPeople are still being profiled. People are still being wrongfully detained. People still can’t go to work or school out of fear. Do not look away and do not buy any political spin coming out of DHS. ICE OUT OF MINNESOTA.
- *Everyone* I know in MN is exhibiting telltale signs of trauma response to the occupation at this point; whether directly impacted or feeling the impacts of secondary and indirect trauma. This is a reminder to care for the helpers and front line folks. To get rest and pace yourself. Hang in there.
