Eric. No, not that one. Or that one.

- I remember all the rumors about Scalia and prostitutes at the ranch where he had a heart attack. This puts those in a new light.
- Boom!
- Do they *finally* realize that licking his boots just diminishes them and delays the inevitable? And then when they have to walk it back because whatever new rule they made for him would also help a dem, they'll just look worse?
- There was an abduction in front of my apartment this morning. Afterwards, a Hennepin County Sheriff car drove by. Around 10-15 of us screamed at them for help, seeking assistance with the abandoned, window-smashed car. Some ran after them. They continued driving. 😑
- MPD is making some effort to put a better face on the department, but HCSO has a history of ole' boys covering for each other. The county has never put the pressure on them that the city put on the PD. I would bet that a lot of bad cops just put on sheriff badges.
- There is a lot to unpack here
- Straight into the sun
- Broke my heart to listen to. That said, at the very least the woman can lose her job because SHE WENT INTO THE SCHOOL FILES TO SEE WHERE THE PARENTS WERE BORN. At the very least. Which she should.
- There are probably restrictions on the use of the files. I wonder if she broke any laws? Maybe someone needs to report her for that. Just so, you know, someone can look into whether she broke the law or whatever. God, I hate her.
- Tyranny requires constant effort. It breaks, it leaks. Authority is brittle. Oppression is the mask of fear.
- Remarkable: Trump's planned migrant prison camps are hitting deep resistance in red areas. In Virginia's partly rural Hanover (+26 Trump) opposition is intense. GOP leaders in other states are opposed. Voters are rejecting mass deportations big time. 1/ (new piece) newrepublic.com/article/2060...
- Miller and Dr. Oz have talked about a labor shortage, so in order to increase support for camps, they could have the detainees produce critical goods, and partner with business leaders. And to help morale, they could have signs with slogans about how hard WORK MAKES you feel FREE.
- And in case it isn't clear how much I hate Miller, Trump, Vance, Oz, RFK Jr, and every other person who enables or even "just" votes for these ghouls, I hate them.
- the wapo bloodbath once again proves that our wealthy and powerful deserve neither their wealth or power
- Taking a well-respected, and PROFITABLE, institution, degrading its brand and running it into the ground in what, 5 years? Remarkable. All he had to do was *nothing*, and he could collect the rents off the business and get respect as a "news magnate". Now he's the guy who screwed up WaPo. Idiot.
- New in PN: Inside the resistance with @whstancil.bsky.social "They seem to have thought they could come in here with big guns and intimidate everyone, then we would all just sort of run away. That didn’t happen. Ultimately, I don’t see a way out for them that isn’t some kind of defeat or retreat."
- Kudos to Minneapolis for not giving them the fight they want. It took a lot of courage and discipline. PDX made them look like cowards and punks, and Minneapolis and CHI showed the world their stupid brutality. They keep stirring stuff up in LA, though. I'm hoping cooler heads prevail there.
- This is bonkers. MAHA 'farmers' with ecoli tainted raw milk admit they really don't know how to make the stuff after all. "Producing raw milk takes careful planning from a facility and infrastructure standpoint. Unfortunately, we learned this after the fact." people.com/ballerina-fa...
- I knew someone who grew up drinking raw milk from their family cow. He would never drink raw milk from someone else's farm, because he knew how careful you have to be.
