I think that most of the mass signifiers that pass for Trans Culture are tacky and annoying.
there's this "you're basically my sister since i'm trans too colon three" attitude that makes me uncomfortable being openly queer at this point.
trans people often want to be friends but don't want to know me, they just imagine the stereotypical trans woman and make weird comments if i at all confirm the stereotype.
Sep 9, 2025 10:38yeah, i've definitely experienced that too. I'm largely tolerant and charitable, as i know both being poorly socialised and autistic are pretty common among us, but also it gets to a point when the atmosphere gets too much to bear and I just want to scream.
this is also more commonly an Internet problem too, where people read presented affect and assume they know everything about someone, but it makes my skin crawl. there's loads of trans people i know who I would be friends with regardless of our shared gender situation, but there's as many i wouldn't
i joined a 196 matrix chat once and instantly got weird sexual comments bc everyone is assumed to be kinky based on the fact it's a chatr around a shitpost subreddit with some shitposts being nsfw. honestly we need to hold our horses with sexual liberation until these fuckers learn how to be normal.
