- Reposted by Daniel RückThe Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza has not stopped. On Saturday, Israeli military airstrikes across Gaza killed at least 32 Palestinians, including six children, in one of its worst assaults during the so-called ceasefire.

- When I first heard this speech, I felt it sounded like it was generated by ChatGPT, and that feeling has grown for me. I know Carney says he wrote it himself but I don't buy it. The cadence of the speech is typical for AI generated stuff.
- Indeed Carney's speech was "a call for a non-aligned movement of intermediate imperial powers". I am struck by how many celebrate his call for collaboration of minor imperial players in the service of naked self interest, with complete disregard for the powerless who will suffer most.
- Reposted by Daniel RückThe Minnesota strike has made it to the top story on NYT. I am not a knee jerk NYT hater, but imo this is noteworthy given the paper’s relative lack of interest in other recent anti-Trump protest activity

- Hard to imagine anywhere else where the occupying power kills a child a day during peace time.
- Reposted by Daniel RückUNICEF: a child has been killed every day in Gaza by Israel since the start of the 'ceasefire.' “These children are killed from airstrikes, drone strikes, including suicide drones. They’re killed from tank shelling, they’re killed from live ammunition, they’re killed from quadcopters.”

- USA needs to invade Venezuela, says same guy who wrote big book on why British imperialism and colonialism were awesome. There's a reason why fascists' first moves are to target anticolonial scholars and activists.
- Reposted by Daniel RückThis is a dangerous and irresponsible response. Cheering the illegal abduction of a foreign head of state and celebrating U.S. control over another country is wrong. Canada cannot pick & choose when international law applies. If the rules only matter when it’s convenient, they don’t protect anyone
