- The CIA just stopped publishing their World Factbook and took every page, including the archived copies of previous versions! This sucks. It was public domain, so I recovered the 2020 edition (the last one published as a zip file) and shared it to GitHub simonwillison.net/2026/Feb/5/t...

- Reposted by Sebastian KarcherI used to manage wine programs for movie theaters and I am in the extremely unique position to say with professional certainty that the answer here is a crisp Albariño.
- Zotero 8 is out in stable: www.zotero.org/blog/zotero-8/ A bunch of new stuff -- the new citation dialog especially is a huge (and long overdue) improvement; massively speeds up anything I do in Word/GDocs with Zotero

- Looking for #challah advice: I'm in the office most Fridays & that makes challah timing hard. Even if I have the dough ready & on slow rise in fridge, I don't have the time for shaping, proofing & baking when I get back from work. Anyone has a workflow that'll get me fresh challah by 5.30pm?
