- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescuePOWERFUL “The murderers are ICE. They are who we need out of this city. Let us carry on our lives safely and not in fear of being shot. If we help a woman who slips on the ice, as I saw happen earlier today before that man was murdered… let’s say his name, Alex was murdered while he was helping.”

- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueAlex Pretti was a colleague at the VA. We hired him to recruit for our trial. He became an ICU nurse- I lover working with him. He was a good kind person who lived to help and these fuckers executed him. White. Hot. Rage.
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueIt's time to abolish Trump’s ICE.
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueMinneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey: "I just saw a video of more than 6 masked agents pummeling one of our constituents and shooting him to death. How many more residents, how many more Americans need to die or get badly hurt for this operation to end?"
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescue"Slavery was real" Tiny sign at the base of a brick wall that, until yesterday, held panels about the people enslaved by George Washington. Presidents House, Philadelphia.

- ICE SUCKS (both kinds)
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueI just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening. The President must end this operation. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now.
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueFrom this moment forward (and before, but clearly now): -If you work for ICE. -If you vote for money for ICE. You are complicit. This is the gestapo. You're on the wrong side. You can't pretend not to know.
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueI told the White House the state must lead the investigation. Let state investigators secure justice. As we process the scene, stay peaceful and give them space. The State has the personnel to keep people safe – federal agents must not obstruct our ability to do so.
- I learned that people can be motivated to care about government information. We just have to talk about it in ways that make sense and relate to their everyday lives. Like .... #publicdataisapublicgood
- Hey #Philly we got you boo. No replacement for the originals but we will remember and fight. ✊🛟❤️
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescue❤️ A friend of #SaveOurSigns pulled out the interpretative panels from our archive. This is our history.
- According to an @inquirer.com update this morning. The city of #philly is suing the federal government based on an agreement between the city and the government about the independence hall sites. The city will keep fighting for its history.

- @quetzal1234.bsky.social and @cynthiaheider.com y'all should talk zines. Maybe a zine about the Independence Hall panels that were removed today???
- The erasure of history has begun. Today in #Philly, workers dismantled an exhibit honoring the lives of enslaved people. Not only was this a monument to their stories, but to the community that came together to support its creation. Today, the federal government dismantled it without their input.
- We have the signs in our #SaveOurSigns archive: sites.google.com/umn.edu/save... And we will continue to remember our history, both of those who were enslaved and those who fought to recognize their lives. They cannot stop us.
- We will not allow the erasure of history. This is why we fought to #SaveOurSigns The digital memory is not the same but at least it gives us something to point to. #philly

- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueThis is, in my opinion, not only the correct moral/ethical/legal position but also the correct political framing. Everyone can see the agency is out of control; everyone can see that it is constantly violating human rights. "Scrap it and start over" is the moderate position.
- We’ve seen a year of people coming together to support, celebrate, and advocate for public data. The DRP will continue to bring the librarians to the table because the right to access information of all kinds is fundamental to our profession.

- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueKristi Noem has been a complete and total failure at her job. She has violated her oath and has allowed ICE agents to terrorize our communities. That’s why I’m joining @robinkelly.house.gov in calling for her impeachment. We deserve better, she’s gotta go.
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueI get this question a lot (not always in such polite language), so worth addressing directly. (Short thread)
- It is an honor and we are very excited to participate!
- Helpful for me = Connecting with people from so many sectors (not just libraries) who care about data. Also, more people recognizing the value of libraries and the critical roles we play in data curation & preservation. They can't be afterthoughts in our plans for the future of federal statistics.

- I woke up angry this morning because of the murder of Renee Good. I woke up angry bc of separation of families & horrendous treatment of humans. I will stay angry to honor their lives and memories. And I will speak despite their desire to suppress and silence the truth.
- Reposted by Lynda M. Kellam #DataRescueKristi Noem is a stone-cold liar who has zero credibility. There is nothing to suggest the shooting of an unarmed woman in Minneapolis was justified. This heinous killing must be criminally investigated to the full extent of the law.
