- #Sundance outcome: Losses: 1 beanie Gains: 1 tweaked knee
- I fear I’ve sacrificed a beanie to the #Sundance gods. Probably worth it.
- I’ve seen 4-5 #Sundance films in SLC so far and all but one had Q&A with the audience, including a whole gaggle of shorts directors. Thank you to those filmmakers making an effort to come down the canyon to see audiences here after opening w/end! We love to see it.
- Halfway though #Sundance 2026, highlights so far: JOSEPHINE, CLOSURE, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HARLEM, BROKEN ENGLISH, THE HISTORY OF CONCRETE, PUBLIC ACCESS 🎥
- Beth de Araűjo’s JOSEPHINE is phenomenal, soul-shattering work. I can’t really post anything else about it right now. I almost passed out crying and shaking during the first 10 minutes. #Sundance
- It’s early, but the best #Sundance film I’ve seen so far is Beth de Araújo’s JOSEPHINE, a potent drama about an 8-year-old who witnesses an assaults. - JOSEPHINE: Beth de Araújo’s drama about an 8-year-old girl having to confront life’s cruelty at such a young age floored me. Little Mason Reeves is a solid lock for my Best Young Performance this year. Bring seventy tissues, a stress ball, and check the trigger warnings, but holy shit. #Sundance
