- Tried two more regular sites that hold Whoopers & once again sadly absent. The big freese has clearly seen them move south.
- Negative result for me, unfortunately!
- I drew a blank in speyside. One site frozen solid, one thawing well. But I suspect very minor sites which rarely have swans. But I had a fantastic time doing it.
- Sadly Craigluscar reservoirs (in Fife) had zero Whoopers today, untill the recent freeze there were 29 wintering.
- 1/ Thank you to everyone who has signed up to the ISC this weekend, helping to contribute to our knowledge of Whooper/Bewick’s Swan populations! For more information on when and how to carry out your count, please visit: www.bto.org/gsmp-isc. Happy surveying! #Ornithology #UKBirding

- Good luck to the Shropshire WeBS team for Sunday's count, we hope you have fair weather and interesting birds. We don't get many (any!) Brent Geese in the shire, but last December's most counted bird was... Lapwing (1,783), followed by Canada Goose (1,372) and Mallard (1,268). #ShropshireBirds
