- Dismal, distant crops from phone snaps of an epic aggregation of Lapwing on the saturated village patch and WeBS site in North Shropshire: around 1,200 birds! Previous record was 567, with just three other three-figure counts over five years. A Great White Egret was a nice bonus. #ShropshireBirds
