- I'm tired, boss
- On the phone for an hour to resolve a client's tax issue with the IRS. I finally get an IRS agent. "Oh yeah, that was resolved back in October; a week after we issued the notice. We didn't send a follow-up notice because the balance was too small."
- I'm aware of a post currently circulating about my firm. I'm not going to deny the claims made in the post, but I can't confirm them either. I have not been made aware of any of the issues claimed by the clients. This is not a place for excuses, so I will not offer any.
- Tax Clients, take note! The IRS has, historically, used the postmark date to determine the date of paper filings. www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc... Now that the USPS is changing the postmark date to the date of processing, a tax document mailed *the day that it's due* will no longer be filed on time.
- Badger! In a suit!

- When I was a child, America was the greatest nation in the word. It was the land of opportunity, where freedom reigned. This land was my land, and this land was your land. From the redwood forests, to the gulf stream waters. It was the land of the free, and the home of the brave.

- Currently on vacation in Seattle, but when I get back to my office, I'm going to begin looking into payment options that aren't PayPal. I need a system my clients can use, and PayPal is proving that they aren't an option.
- Spotti's accomplishments and involvement will never be forgotten. Rest in Peace.
- @spottacus.org passed away last night. I'm destroyed. I'm distraught. I can't breathe over the tears. I love you forever hun.
- Interrupting my vacation to bring you the Tax Badger's notes on the Big Beautiful Bill. These are only the provisions that will affect you on a tax basis; there are additional provisions that affect millions of people, but these are beyond my official purview as an accounting firm.
- This is your regular reminder: The reason that your taxes feel so much higher when you're self-employed is because there are taxes (15%, Social Security and Medicare) held out of your paycheck in traditional employment (i.e. Walmart). But you are your own employer. That means holding FICA taxes!
- Get yourself an accountant who puts smiley faces in his professional emails c:
- I am home from vacation! Unfortunately, that was an 8 hour drive with no audio books (I tried to find one but the one I picked didn't grab me so I turned it off), so I'm taking an extra day to recover Will get to emails tomorrow!

- Happy pride everyone!!!
- So sorry about the delays to a few inquiries! I got a new phone and didn't realize I didn't have Tax Badger's bsky set up on it, so I didn't see that I had a few messages. Up and running now!
- As a heads up, the IRS website is currently displaying an extension payment date of April 22nd THIS IS NOT CORRECT. THE EXTENSION DEADLINE REMAINS APRIL 15TH. We don't currently know why they have an incorrect date. Source: NATP
- Reminder that tax day is in 11 days! Please be sure to get your return filed by that date (or an extension - talk to your tax advisor!), even if you are unable to pay a balance due by April 15th. As a reminder - Late Filing penalty: 5% per month Late Payment penalty: 0.5% per month
- Just a reminder that tax badger does not engage in April fools! The best jokes are the ones you walk away from laughing with your friends, and it's far too easy to hurt someone with lying, even if the lie is "just a joke bro"
