- It's new Wrong Speed Records release announcement day! Rejoice! WSR082 is "A Plague Of Gimps", the 2nd solo album by EDWIN R STEVENS. We know we're fond of (polite, realistic) hyperbole at WSHQ but this one might be the best album that's ever landed in our laps...
- You can hear "Ugly Thing" and see it's video by Luke Andrew here: youtu.be/hfpIAJFI9Jg This record *destroys* us. There's heavy music out but this is different. This is crushing. The space in the music left for the voice is like leaving a door ajar to let the monster in...

- "Clock" is the second single from the forthcoming HEY COLOSSUS album "Heaven Was Wild" and features guest vocals from Claire of Objections, Nape Neck and Beards. It's the closest the HC6 are going to come to a pop banger and has a suitably world-weary video by singer Paul that you can see here...

- BLOODY HEAD "Bend Down And Kiss The Ground" is officially out TODAY! Stream it in full on Bandcamp now (and on digital platforms later today) and order the limited edition LP directly from us or from all decent independent retailers (we recommend Norman, Beat & Track, Land Of Treason for starters)
- "Bend Down..." is a masterpiece of noise-as-meditative-device, as explosive as it is transformative. The power of repetition and the build/release of tension is addictive. We don't do genres at Wrong Speed but if you told me this is what 'noise rock' sounded like then I might listen to more of it...

- Yesterday I really did kick fuck out of a bin and it's the best I've felt in months. Recommended.

- In the final days of Nottingham Selectadisc, I bought the double LP deluxe version of this, handed Gary X Ray £40 in cash and he came back with £40 change for me.

- Simple test of music retailer quality: are they stocking the new Bloody Head? Norman = excellent music retailer. (Large "indie" shop trading on association with genuinely good label, operating sale-or-return only and receiving business rate deals from local councils = not so good music retailer)

- Not-so-gentle reminder that the new BLOODY HEAD album "Bend Down And Kiss The Ground" is officially out this Friday on everyone's favourite income-tax-disaster-zone Wrong Speed Records! Here's the title track, filmed on my shitty mobile phone (RIP) in a concrete room filmed with resonant metal...
- This guy has never tried to uninstall Gemini
- Changed my phone for first time since 2020 and holy shit what is this AI assistant hell? I'm an old man who just wants an easy life (and for sound engineers to not tell me to turn down but that's a separate thread). Why is technology so impossibly, pointlessly shit?
