- "You could be sitting on a mountain top in Nepal with a handheld device and run a scientific analysis" Alan Evans' vision for the future of science #EvidenceDay
- Tomorrow (December 4) we will demonstrate what woven literature looks like in the age of AI. We will introduce a new AI-driven article format (wired paper) and present four examples that cover a range of disciplines. Join us! qantarot.substack.com/p/introducin...
- After three sabbaticals in Tokyo, Abu Dhabi and Skopje, I’m excited to finally share what we’ve built. Join us for the unveiling of the Evidence publishing platform! 1/n
- Evidence expands the scope of NeuroLibre to include the full range of natural sciences while incorporating LLM assisted workflows and preserving rigorous reproducibility standards. 2/n
- The launch will happen on December 4 on the beautiful campus of NYU Abu Dhabi. We have a stellar list of speakers including John Ioannidis (Stanford University), Alan Evans (McGill University) and Cesar A. Hidalgo (Toulouse School of Economics) 3/n

- I still dream of changes in the ISMRM and I hope this series of blog posts will contribute to it. I have created a survey (link) asking the community for feedback. Feel free to use it to voice your concerns and to suggest ways in which the ISMRM could improve. qantarot.substack.com/p/ismrm-survey
- I moderated a fun debate at the @esmrmb.bsky.social microstructure workshop today. We asked the panelists to argue for and against the clinical potential of qMRI. Inspired by the Munk debates, we polled the audience before and after the discussion. It appears the pessimists won by a small margin:)
- Another NeuroLibre publication that puts reproducibility at the forefront. Congratulations @evaalonsoortiz.bsky.social for getting it accepted in the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences! preprint.neurolibre.org/10.55458/neu...

- Reposted by Nikola StikovOne point on the opening lecture was that the number of members hasn't increased since 2017 but costs are rising and something has to change. And at the same time stuff like this doesn't get support? Seems weird.. Highlights was a true highlight. Sad it is gone.
- A part of me wishes I was at #ismrm2025 with my friends and colleagues, celebrating their successes and hearing about their research. However, I decided to skip the annual meeting and write this post instead, hoping it will make a difference in the long run. 1/3
- The Highlights party has been the most inclusive and the most sustainable party at the @ismrm.bsky.social annual meeting. It did not take any money from the membership, it did not use public research funds, and everybody was invited. 2/3 #ismrm25 #ismrm2025
- Despite this (or maybe because of it), it was sidelined by the ISMRM. In future posts I will explain why this is symptomatic of a larger culture shift in the ISMRM, and what we can do about it. 3/3 qantarot.substack.com/p/no-highlig...
- Out now in MAGMA, our contribution to the debate about harmonization vs. standardization of MRI measurements We propose a 4-tier benchmark to assess the transparency of MRI workflows: (i) black box; (ii) gray box; (iii) frosted box; (iv) glass box Which box is your workflow in? 1/3
- The more open-source dependencies we have, the harder it gets to run them across different vendor environments. This leaves us at a fork: should we lower our colors to more modest tiers of transparency, or strive to push our measurements toward true metrology? 2/3 link.springer.com/article/10.1...
- This question echoes the dilemma of whether to standardize or harmonize. Though often used loosely to describe "scanner effect removal", the two differ sharply. That’s why we introduced a mini-glossary to clarify the terms about improving the reliability of imaging biomarkers. 3/3
