- We are witnessing the Dominic Cummings effect in real time. An evil magus must be to blame for the PM's shortcomings, so under the bus with them...until the next disaster or U turn. Then they will find somebody else to blame.

- It would be ironic if the Epstein Files failed to land a glove on Donald Trump yet led to the sudden departure of a Labour Prime Minister with a huge majority just a year and a half after entering Downing Street. But it's an increasingly mad world out there. www.theguardian.com/politics/liv...
- Starmer knew that Mandelson was forced to resign from the Cabinet not once but twice for failing to declare an interest free loan from a wealthy publisher and for helping to procure a passport for a very wealthy Indian businessman. Not to mention his close relationship to a Russian oligarch 🤔
- 'Morgan McSweeney, the man arguably more responsible for this government than Starmer himself [was] the person said to have pushed for Mandelson to be given the ambassadorship' Now Mandelson has finally become politically redundant attention turns to his protege theconversation.com/the-fall-of-...
- What was Mandelson looking for as a return on his investment in his dearest friend Jeffrey Epstein? It certainly wasn't an osteopathy course for his lover or an unremembered $75K gift. He was planning to become a very rich man with the help of a sex trafficker using access to govts & oligarchs.
- This was always the point of ICE - to create a private army of armed and masked Brownshirt style thugs to prevent the Democrats from ever assuming power again. It worked in Germany in 1933 and Bannon & Miller are planning to ensure it works for Trump in 2026.
- And who gets to decide what is prejudicial to UK national security or - waves hand airily - 'international relations'? That would be the same Prime Minister who appointed Peter Mandelson as ambassador to Washington apparently against security vetting advice.
- Every one needs to watch and hear this testimony especially in the UK where the leaders of both far right parties have plans to introduce a version of ICE to the streets of Britain.
- The PM of Poland has announced an investigation into possible links between Epstein and Russian intelligence. The 1351 Treason Act which forbids giving aid or comfort to the King's enemies remains law. It carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. Just saying.

I argued that Peter Mandelson's department “functions as a fifth column within government, working for corporations to undermine democracy and the public interest.” This thread explains what I saw, and reaches a startling conclusion.🧵 www.monbiot.com/2009/05/04/m...
- Reposted by Simon ParkerDefinitely seems like they destroyed the country on purpose.
- A police investigation and prosecution must now follow and parliament needs straight answers about what our security services knew about Mandelson's dealings with Epstein given his close connection to foreign intelligence agencies and the leaking of classified UK government information.

- I've noticed a ramping up of attacks on Zack by centrist accounts on here accusing him of not being 'serious'. Most voters including those who consider themselves moderates would regard rejoining Europe initially via the Customs Union as very serious & sensible. Starmer of course has said no way.
- The UK is clearly a multi party democracy for which the absurdly unfair first past the post electoral system is completely unfit for purpose. The thought of Farage running a Trump like far right government in the UK on a quarter of the vote is a terrifying but very real one. Electoral reform now!
