- I love stumbling across #murals in #Glasgow. Makes the place feel like a secret adventure. Makes me want to whimsically explore. I wonder if the city ever fixes some of the murals that have been graffitied over. Happened to the poor old Kingfisher mural by the canals.

- First visit to By Chance! Excited to try out the different flavours 😆 The shop is so pretty!
- 'Tis a week of major deadlines 🫠 Now would be a good time for a fae entity to kidnap me and keep me as an ambassador for humans.
- I read Volpato et al. (2025; doi.org/10.1016/j.ch...) for an assignment, and out of curiosity I looked up the author. Turns out they're from my University, which is a fun coincidence. Then I find my dissertation supervisor (Prof DeBruine) listed as an author too! What a small world 😂
- Sighthill Park and Cemetery are so pretty~
- Shout-out to the kids at GSC Auldhouse Foundation's Hope Camp for their epic clay artistry! This is what we're doing the community consultation for - for the GSC Community Hub to provide more opportunities like this.
- 🎵Far over the misty mountains cold 🎶 🎵To dungeons deep and caverns old 🎶 🎵We must away, ere break of day 🎶 🎵To seek our pale enchanted gold 🎶 Ahh the Highlands! The land of mist, midges and mountains

- Reposted by Sara EftekhariVery excited to publicly share news about a new tool, Papercheck, that @debruine.bsky.social and me started to develop more than a year ago! In an introductory blog post, we explain our philosophy to automatically check scientific papers for best practices. daniellakens.blogspot.com/2025/06/intr...
- Interesting read. Favourite quote: "Because when we remove unnecessary hurdles, we make space for better research." This is the spirit of metascience. Liked the step-by-step of how to produce tools with a product design approach, emphasising feedback loops & market/consumer research.
- I wrote a blogpost on something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: how metascientists could (and should) think more about their users when designing tools and reforms. Would love to hear any thoughts on this topic! #metascience #usercentered

- Reposted by Sara Eftekhari1. LLM-generated code tries to run code from online software packages. Which is normal but 2. The packages don’t exist. Which would normally cause an error but 3. Nefarious people have made malware under the package names that LLMs make up most often. So 4. Now the LLM code points to malware.

- Another favourite lesson from this episode: Publication bias is when published literature is SYSTEMATICALLY UNREPRESENTATIVE of all performed studies - not just the tendency to publish only significant findings, but also non-significant ones. 1/2
- New episode of @nulliusinverba.bsky.social ! We (very) critically discuss the classic paper by John Ioannidis 'Why most published research findings are false'. What did he get wrong, and why is it still interesting to read the paper? nulliusinverba.podbean.com/e/episode-56...

- This episode was my introduction to base rate fallacy and how it explains the false positive paradox in cases like cancer detection. Had fun Googling it further: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Base_ra... The wikipedia example was funny, and it goes: 1/3
