- I do think it’s worth noting that NO state uses anything like the electoral college to run its gubernatorial election. (Your point, I presume.) Maybe the reason is that it’s a ridiculous system to use, for any election.
- Until 1962 Georgia governors were elected by the "County Unit " system which was similar to the electoral college. The S Ct held it unconstitutional once the one-person one-vote interpretation of the 14th amendment had been put into place.Nov 22, 2025 02:02
