- Your article about this was great. I just don’t know that we can convince any public entity that creating good things is worthwhile when we’re mired in a culture of austerity and program cuts. But soon there will be more cops in Victoria than civilians so maybe we can use them as benches?
- The BC Transit “design standards” seem to be aimed at reducing install/maintenance cost and reducing vandalism while ensuring maximum discomfort for passengers. It’s a fiscal choice I guess.
- When I first found out that BC Transit only installed “leaning bars” on the busiest line in kelowna I was appalled. There wasn’t even a single seat on a bus stop that frequently had 50+ people waiting at once.
