- Two weeks on from a third flood since 2016 I cd think of a more tactful approach that the Environment Agency @EnvAgency chose to push thru letterboxes of homes today.
- I was an official observer in the 2009 elections in Mozambique. What struck me then was how hard the ruling party, Frelimo, tried in a campaign that they were always going to win anyway.
- What sort of animal leaves these prints in the snow? Am now thinking we had an elk come up to the window overnight and I’ve not seen many of those in Stockport.
- Incredibly different reaction to #pmqs on Twitter (where the consensus seems to be that Starmer is in deep trouble) and Bluesky (where several are saying that Badenoch has had performed terribly). Ofc both interpretations might be true but the difference in tone is marked.

This has been going on for over a decade, in Europe and the U.S., where the term “far right” is being squeezed tighter and tighter until it only refers to Nazis.
