- It’s a series of three lectures #LSEEvents Much of the Q&A attempted to extract his views on from week three on policy making but he left us with a cliff-hanger. Very well attended.

- Reposted by Pat McGovernI wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free

- The state of the #NHS Had a scan in early Oct. Follow up appt led to a referral to specialist dept in local hospital for possible surgery. Heard nothing for one month.

- We keep hearing about the wonderful advances in IT, how they will solve so many problems, including in the #NHS. I had a specialist appointment this morning - the only thing the doctor had was my name and date of birth. He knew there was a file but the system would not give him access!🤣😢

- Went to see 'Am I Irish yet?' last night. It was more entertaining than some of the reviews suggest but I did come away more impressed by #KateKerrigan career achievements than by the piece itself. The relationship between the 2nd gen and the auld country is certainly fertile territory.
- Welcome to Bluesky. Here’s sensible advice from a good citizen.
- I was never convinced by #Martinelli - unimaginative decision maker with ordinary end product. Now I just don't like him as a person on the old rule - give someone complete power in a situation and they will reveal themselves.

- Reposted by Pat McGovernI understand the pressures on the BBC, but Radio 4's coverage of the Minneapolis shooting is an example of "bad balance". It's all "the Trump regime says she was a terrorist, but Democrats say it was murder". The BBC has the footage. It doesn't have to treat truth and falsehood as equally valid.
