- Data cleaning as main source of variation: "Thing that moves the needle is cleaning [...] we don't teach or discuss standardized/best data-cleaning practices. So there's big variance in how we do it" IMHO also missing piece in replicability--often limited to sharing (cleaned) analytical data & codes
