Today I’m announcing the Utah Cares Act, a new bill that would expand the healthcare access that I get as a state legislator to everyone in Utah.

PEHP does a great job managing our care, and we’d get big corporations out of the business of providing healthcare to employees and levy a new tax on them to pay for universal coverage at much lower rates than most Utahns currently have access to.

We can expand coverage here in Utah, lower costs for our community, cut red tape that inflates the amount we spend on healthcare, and increase the flexibility folks have in finding a job that fits them best without worrying about the implications of leaving employer-provided care.
