- I think it's time. #soon

- "The real opposition is the media. And the way to deal with them is to flood the zone with shit" S Bannon, 2016 Il se fou qu'on dise qu'il est raciste.

- a new working paper: osf.io/3dq2x_v1! we administered an original survey to a sample of 10-to-12-year olds, their parents, and a national sample to assess the extent to which values can provide a foundation for political ideology. we find that values structure political preferences among children.

- Opening Bluesky be like @npmx.dev
- from next week i will release all the stuffs that we are working on, Jean, new Coolify version, Openclaw one-click service, a new app. cool
- DAMMIT ED, NO Have you TRIED procuring and integrating enterprise software? Because OH BOY are you in for a tragically underestimated and regularly disappointing ride I'm not saying the big apps are all terrible. (They are *mostly* terrible.) But their terribleness isn't even half the problem here

View full threadYet, your typical engineering firm has dozens and dozens of custom Excel sheets that are excellent SaaS in disguise. Basic CRUD and spreadsheet like software that is super easy to ship by small team (even more with LLMs), with people who can actually use it should you listen to what they want.
- Yeah, there's a bunch of us on here who regularly fall into the pros and cons of spreadsheets as software. You're absolutely right about them making usage & changes easier. Unfortunately, we don't have the traditional engineering tools to make them *safer*. Bugs are much harder to spot, debug, test.

- One of my favorite questions for teams who swear their workflow is “buttoned up”… If someone outside engineering spots typos in two different parts of your web app: How long does it take for both fixes to be in production… and for that person to get a quick “thanks, it’s been updated”?

- This is very popular, yet WILDLY poor advice: “Be constructive, don’t complain about problems if you don’t have a solution” If you hear someone say this, please consider slapping them with a large trout. Being aware of problems is *incredibly valuable*, whether you have solutions or not! [1/n]
- My newsletter never had an RSS feed, but I added one with the redesign of my homepage. It's just a preview and then goes to Kit's generated page, but it's better than nothing! If you're interested, the link for the feed is at the top of the page: www.kevinpowell.co/newsletter/
- Facebook's Static Hermes is kind of incredible. It can compile JavaScript into C, which is then optimized into native machine code. I just compiled the Less.js source code into a C library. Then I called it from Rust as a native Parcel plugin (no Node). Wild. 👨🔬 devongovett.me/blog/static-...
- I'm not invested in the AI fight but scope that last line! I think the atmosphere is leaking
- This is how we code now 😅
- pds moover is so epic everyone say thank you @baileytownsend.dev
- jj is actually Git-compatible so you can use it on existing projects without your collaborators needing to know that you are.. of course, you will tell them anyway

Thread 🧵
