- Strong vibes from my time in civil and thermal engineering here. Simulations have replaced week long calculations for a while now, the best ones are overkill for most tasks. Juniors often rely too much on it. See the pattern? What's a "good" engineer then? Do we still need them? 👇
- My new hobby at work: rephrasing every single bullshit "hot take on AI" by replacing "agent" with "context window". The visible emotional roller-coaster it creates is a connoisseur's delicacy.
- Tech interview: "I still read everything Claude/Cursor produces, I own the code. Plus, I don't want my team to be stuck if Claude has an outage". Interviewer face 🤔-> 😐-> 😰 slightly indicating that they're not sure their team can still code.

- Code a barebone SolidStart app with routes and basic components with zero style -> Penpot MCP setup all the project, components etc. -> Style by hand -> Pull back into code with the same MCP. For a non-designer, this a golden really. (Should work with Figma too)
- Wait what? I just pushed my first useTransition to prod a few weeks ago. At first I was like "ok, just put everything in transition and bye bye jitter*. Oh wait no, maybe fix jitter in the first place, this sounds like anti-pattern". And now… I don't know 😅 *or anything else

- Kind of shameful I forgot that one at the bottom of box... But it's still in great shape! #teasky
- Honestly, after visiting Tunisia this fall, I don't think I need Temporal anymore. Or anything else for that matter. Just dates.
- Or put it another way around: if any new API is judged by AI and how AI uses it, what place is there for innovation in DX? Models will be reluctant to use truly innovative API designs… because well, they are trained on old ones. That do includes API specifically tailored for AI.
- I haven't been using Claude Code "skills" because for the little customiwation I do, "commands" seemed enough and it works nice out of the box anyways. I decided to learn once and for all how "skills" are different. And Claude said… they are the same 🤷. Let's say I'm thick and I call them prompts.
