- I suspect most people don't know that there is a mass grave site a stone's throw from downtown Montréal. Or that the mayor of Montréal died of typhus after attending to victims. Or that the neighborhood next to the black rock memorial was later razed to make way for a giant parking lot.
- Looking forward to getting my own copy of "Everything Evolves", written by my friend and #Usherbrooke colleague Mark Vellend.
- I tried translating some of my teaching slides from French to English using the "translate" feature in Powerpoint. Protéines de décoiffage (Decapping proteins) has been translated to "hair-raising proteins" and I will be referring to them as such from now on.

- New report from our collaborators. The Flock House virus B2 protein is a dsRNA-binding protein that can be used to concentrate viral RNA for sequencing. The Fall lab has optimized a protocol that makes this easier, faster and much cheaper. doi.org/10.1111/1755...
